THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological" Office this evening issued the following weather summary and forecast:—The barometer has fallen everywhere.' Cloudy and unsettled weather has been experienced generally, and rain is reported in the far north. Northerly and easterly winds have prevailed and increased in force, especially in the northern districts. Present indications are for northerly winds, strong to heavy, to gale in the far north, and veering and increasing elsewhere shortly. Heavy rain is probable in the northern districts, with rivers rising in these parts, ft. storm area appears to be approaching from the northward, and unsettled weather is likely to extend over the country, with rain following in many parts. A falling barometer is probable, especially in the north.
