WAITARA NEWS

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Waitara Dairy Co. put up a good record for milk test during the last week in December. Of the twenty-nine suppliers to the main factory the lowest test was 4.0, and the highest 5.2, the average being 4.3. The Bijou Minstrels held another very successful concert in aid of the fire brigade on Thursday evening, some £ls being taken at the door. On Thursday next the fire brigade will hold a big floral fete in aid of the funds, when, given fine weather, the numerous attractions offered should bring together a large concourse of the public. The West End Bowling Club will try conclusions with the Waitara Club on Thursday next. It is expected that at least two local rinks will be competitors at the Inglewood tournament next month.
