CHAIRMAN ATTEMPTS SUICIDE. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. New York, December 28. The State Superintendent of Banks has closed the Northern Bank of New York, which has deposits exceeding £1,000,000, on the ground of certain irregularities. Mr. Robin, chairman of the bank committee, entered a sanatorium on Saturday, as following a mental breakdown, and attempted suicide.
