Stanton, the men's agent, on behalf of a deputation of Cardiff miners, submitted their grievances to a Conciliation I>oaTd. The owners conceded the miners'application for 1% per cent, advance In the general rate of wages in South Wales. A DEADLOCK MAY ENSUE. Received 15. 10.-50 p.m. London. November 15. The men's representatives on the Conciliation Board at Cardiff admitted that the Po.vel-Duffryn stoppage was irregular, but asked to have the grievance sifted. The owners refused to negotiate until tlie Powell-Duffryn men resumed work.
