RECORD JERSEY SALE

MR. C. CLARKE'S HERD. \] There w.'.s a largo attendance of buy-, ers anil others at the Waiwakaiho 1 saleyards yesterday, on 'the occasion 011 < j the'dispersal sale 'of Mr. C. Clarke's fa-jj inous herd. Amongst the crowd were well-known breeders from all parts ol| I the North Island. The prices realised j were exceedingly high, and Mr. Clarke J was the recipient of many congratu-1 lations on the success of the sale. It is worthy of note that of the lots catalogued, only one failed to reach the reserve price, and was withdrawn. Following the sale of Mr. Clarke's stock, several pedigree animals were offered on account of Mr. A. E. Watkin, Uruti. and other breeders.
