SIR JOHN LOGAN CAMPBELL. . By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Sir John Logan Campbell, the "father of Auckland," entered upon his ninetyfourth birthday to-day, when he received the congratulations of numerous callers, and also the felicitations and good wishes of many correspondents, who forwarded telegraphic messages from all parts of the Dominion. Sir John, despite the weight of yeaTs, still retains a large measure of the excellent (health that he has always enjoyed, and to-day received his callers as usual at his office in Sliortland street, and exchanged greetings with them with his customary cheerfulness.
