THE GEOLOGICAL STAFF. By Cable—Press Association-Copyright. Sydney, November 3. Mr. Priestley, one of the geologists of Sir E. Shackleton's expedition, will accompany Captain Scott. He is leaving Sydney on Saturday. Christcliurch, Thursday. Mr Priestlev's appointment as one of the geologists" of the Antarctic expedition is due to the recommendation of Professor David, of Sydney. Mr. Priestley takes Mr. Allan Thompsons place. Since the return of Sir E. Shackleton s expedition he has been working with ■professor David preparing the geological results for publication. ENTERTAINING THE STAFFS. Christcliurch, Last Night. Mr. Priestly leaves Sydney to-morrow Ito join the Antarctic expedition. _ The officers and members of the scientific staff will be the guests of the Canterbury Jockey Club at the forthcoming races and the Club's annual ball.
