SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates summary and forecast: -Fresh southcasterly winds have prevailed northward of Hokitika and Kaikoura, and wester-, lies in the far south, but light and variable winds elsewhere Warm and dmriing showers have fallen northward of Gisborne and Raglan, but the weather has been fair elsewhere, except m Fob veaux Strait. The barometer has fallen slightly in the north. Present indications are for strong easterly and southeasterly winds northward of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, and easterly ■winds, backing to northerly, elsewhere soon. Rain is probable northward ©I New Plymouth and Napier, increasing laziness and humidity preceding a change elsewhere. Expect rain in most parts within three days, and the barometer to fall everywhere.
