SUPREME COURT.
MUNICIPAL BY-LAW APPEAL CASES. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Christchureh, Last Night. In the Supreme Court, Mr. Justice Chapman dismissed the appeals of the town clerk against the Magistrate b decision in cases where alleged breaches of by-laws regarding hoardings and skysigns had been dismissed. His Honor held that the provision of the Municipal Corporations Act, upon which the bylaw was based, was not so woTded as to give power to deal with devices for advertising, which ihad Ibeen set up in the past.
