BUTTER GRADING.
AUSTRALIAN OBJECTIONS,
By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Sydney, August 25. A deputation interviewed the Minister of Customs requesting that effect not be given to the following recommendations of 'Mr. Loekyear, Collector of Customs: That the allowance of moisture in butter be reduced from 16 to 14 per cent.; that the percentage of butter fat be raised from 82 to 84 per cent.; and that the trade mark be stamped on boxes. ' ' Mr. Tudor replied that whatever action would' be taken would be in the interests of the whole of Australia. He pointe' out that New Zealand butter, which ".(is graded and stamped, brought higher prices than Australian.
