SUMMARY AM) POiRBCAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington.' Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates' weather sumand forecast are as follow Southwesterly winds have 'backed-to northerlies in most parts of the country. has fallen on the West Coast of the South Island, but fine and cool weather has prevailed elsewhere. Present indications are for a falling barometer everywhere, and for the development of a storm area to the north-west of New Zealand. Within thirty-six hours >northerlv winds, strong to a gale, will profcably prevail, with increasing cloudiness preceding general rain, which is likely to be iheavy in the North Island.
