MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. rfy Telegraph—Press Association. Woodville, Last Night. A man named John Lawson met with an accident at Oringi railway crossing to-day. He was driving a cart, which was run into by a train. The horse was killed and the man seriously injured. He was conveyed to the hospital at Palmerston. A WIDOW'S SUICIDE. Invercargill, Friday. The body of Jane Acker, widow, aged 66 years, was found in the Oreti river on Thursday evening. Deceased, who worked as a housekeeper, had been in poor health, but had not hinted at suicide.
