' (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) I Stratford, Last Night. A meeting of the Taranaki Rugby Union was held this evening, the chairman (Mr. W. C. Cargill) presiding. PLAYERS REPORTED. ,P. R. Home (Inglewood) was reported for foul and rough play.— Held over pending enquiry by Referees' Association. E. Dine (Tukaipa), for striking an opponent, was disqualified till the end of the first round. N. Pepperell (Clifton), for striking an opponent, was disqualified till the end of the first round. E. -Stockman (Star), for bickering, threatening to i : -ht an opponent, and using offensive ;.,jguage to a referee, was disqualified lor the season. It was deciutd to write the Northern Referees' Association, -pointing -out the (hrevity of their reports, and asking them to supply fuller particulars in future. (REINSTATEMENTS. The following reinstatements were granted: —Eltham: J. MeLeod, seniors to first juniors; W. E. Gaveny, first juniors to second juniors. Stratford: J. Moir, first juniors to second juniors. Tukapa: ,E. Bullot, seniors to first juniors. 'Clifton: iS. Maine, seniors to first juniors; C. Limmer, first juniors to second juniors. Reinstatement refused: Clifton: E. George, -seniors to first juniors. GENERAL. The Eltham Club applied for a refund of expenses from the Clifton Club. —Resolved, that the Eltham Club >be asked if tliey had received notice from the Clifton Club that the latter were forfeiting.
The Stratford Domain Board wrote stating tliat for the future the charge for the ground would be 20 per cent, of the gate.—Received.
It was decided to ask the Manawatu Union to .play a match with Taranaki at Hawera on 14th July. 'The conditions of the Bayly Memorial Scholarship were approved, with the following addition, that the winner of the scholarship in each year receive ;a .gold medal from the Rugby Union.
The following will represent Star second against Stratford second at Stratford to-morrow. Players will .leave by 12.50 train:—Lowe (3), James, Bach, Crockett, Pearce, Whitaker, Page, Burrows, Oakes, Lealand, Evans, Bullot, and Tito. Any player unable to make the trip will please notify the captain. The Star third team plays Stratford ■third at New Plymouth to-morrow at 1.30. The Stars will be represented :by Kurangi, Holmes, White, Jeffries, Ski,piper, Bridger, Stoeker, Gleeson, Go-ss, Mack, Skipper, Oarr, White, Lovell, and Fox; emergencies, Bowie, Jury, and A. Stockman.
The following will represent Tukapa .seniors against Inglewood at Ingle wood on Thursday, the team leaving by the 12.50 train:--Clarke, Weibster, Thompson, Jones, Mulyey, Loveridge (2), Jua, Julian, Blyde, Steele, Fairbrother, Davidson, McAllum, and Ward. Tuka.pa first juniors against Inglewood in the Western Park will ,be represented as follows: —Roebuck, Webster, Ryder, Addison, Honeyfield, McGiven, George, Kilgour, Allen, Francis, Mclsaac, Coker, Bollinger, Gray, and Sturmey. The following will represent Star seniors in their match with Stratford a the Recreation Grounds to-morrow after noon:—B. Joll, I. Grant, Hill, Brown Malone, Whitaker, Dixon, Pearce, Bullock, Turnbull, Ross, Bellringer,.Richards Hawkins and Hopkins.
