DEVELOPING VICTORIAN COAL
OUTCOME OF THE STRIKE,

A company, representing some ot the leading shipping and colliery interests, has been formed in Sydney to work a coal mine at Powlett River, in Victoria*
The company lias secured 1400 acres near the Victorian State mine, and ex.peets to start operations at an car'v .date. The reason assigned for the formation of the company is that Victorian legislation is more favorable to .mining operations, and that no bar is offered to the employment or five labor; therefore there is less risk of .shipping and other industries being (blocked in the event of strikes in other .centres.
