FURTHER FLOODS.
PLIGHT OF NEW SOUTH WALES TOWN. By Telegraph.—Press Association. . Sydney, January 24. Coalgett presents the appearance of a fortified town. The streets have been taken up to furnish material for embankments. The water is now racing all round the town. On the flats' it is rising rapidly, and a formidable volume of water is within a day's journey of the town. Despite all precautions there must be heavy losses. Stock has been removed to what little high land there is about the place. Walgett is being assailed by two ' flooded rivers, the Barwon and the Namoi. In past experience.-' onlv one river has been flooded at a time. Larmers' houses round Weewaa have five or six feet of water in them. Not a single roof is left 011 many farms.
