AMUSEMENTS.

• THE RIRORIROS. The Riroriros, a band oi little giris from the Salvation Army Children's Home, Wellington, trained by and under the direction of Brigadier Holdaway, appeared in the Theatre Royal yesterday afternoon and evening. I lie building being well 'filled on both occii»i»ii<. The children acquitted themselves remarkably well. The programme they submitted would have done credit to an adult musical troupe. 'Die talented company appear at tinTheatre Royal again this evening, and those, who did not hear them yesterday should make a point of not missing what is a unique musical treat.

CHORAL CONCERT. The programme of the concert to Vv given in St. Mary's Hall by I lie New Plymouth Choral Society, assisted by the leading iiistriiuieiitalist,s of the towii. appears in this morning'* issue. We hope thai this organisation, which has heen inactising assiduously for the past few months, will receive the support it merits' by the music-loving public of this comimniity. Kndeavors of the kind have in the 'past met with no lasting.' success, simply for the want of proper support. These musical societies not only provide us with a clean and bcauiifill form of entcriaiimient, but help to cultivate and raise the musical status' nf the town. As will ho seen the programme for to-morrow's concert is an attractive one, and should certahly entice those who enjoy good music.
