CARIUXCTON ROAD CLUB. The annual meeting of the Carrington Road Cricket Club was held last night. Mr. A. The committee recognised ths fact that if the club was to uphold its standard of play sonic good practice wickets must be obtained, and so, acting in conjunction with the New Plymouth Club, they had imported soil from Longburn through the Recreation Ground Committee, who were laying the wickets free of all eost to the clubs, and the committed recommended that a hearty vote of thanks be accorded the Recreation Sports Ground Comuiitt.ee for its assistance iu this all-important matter.

Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—President, Mr. (J. T. Bayly (re-elected); vice-presidents, Mesdames Saxton and MeEwen, Messrs.! K. Cock, Bannister, and G. Gray; lion, secretary, Mr. J. E. Avery; lion, treasurer, Mr. \V. Perham; delegate to North Taranaki Cricket Association, Mr. W. Perham; management committee, Messrs. W. MeEwen, Foote, and Hcaly, and the officers ex officio; club captain, Mr. W. Perham: senior selection coin-' niit'tee, Messrs. Perham, Benbow, aim Skelly; junior selector, Mr. W. The subscriptions for the season W"ie fixed at £1 for seniors and 5s for juniors; juniors wishing to practice on the Kecreation Sport s Ground to pay 10s subscription for the season.

It was decided that two teams, one senior and one junior, be entered in the North Taranaki Cricket Association's cup competitions. A vote of thanks was accorded the Cricket Association and to tile Recreation .Sports Ground Committee for hazing the wickets prepared tree of coit to'the clubs.
