SUTTON'S DEVON EAVER RYE, IT IS PERENNIAL AND IX WILL NOT RUN OUT. There is nothing new about Sutton's Devon Eaver—it is over 100 years old. As Rye-grass is llio principal grass in all pastures for sheep or cattle, it is very important that the greatest caution and care be exercised in securing seed which will prove perenniall and will not run out. Experience in England has proved that see d saved by Sutton's, from their old in Devonshire, gives not only a grass which will last for all time, but one' which lias easily a greater feeding value than all others. Exactly the same applies to this eol ony. The noted pastures in Poverty Bay and llawke's llay were all laid down in this seed more than fifty years ago, and are as good to-day as they ever were; in fact, each year they improve. Also, there is no doubt whatever that the finest stands of Jiye in Taranaki are those very old pastures which were sown down witli this old Devonshire seed in the early days by the Missionaries. It lias held better than all the seeds s own and gathered in the colony. Although the best Colonial llye, even f rem Mission Stations, may die out in time, the Devon Eaver, brougli here by the missionaries some fifty years ago, though sown in many different localities, remains in the ground today; this applies also to the same seed brought out by Devonshire famiI'm'S nearly forty years ago. Indeed , although Taranaki Soil is very reluctant to accept Colonial and the or dinnry imported Eye seed, it has shown a remarkable liking for Sutt Devon Eaver. This is such a well-known fact amongst the more observant Taranaki farmers that we are pressed on all sides to get uuppli es from Sutton's of this seed. We . ive sold out our first twe sliipme nts, and t'ne third, comprising 20 !rtnks, lias just arrived per Corinth: c. A large quantity of this has been jool.ed for all parts of Taranaki by our shrewdest farmers who realise that a good sowing is as important as a good burn. The Eye all comes out in sealed tanks, thus preserving i ts vitality. P.S.—Don't confuse Sutton's Dev on on Eaver Eye Grass Seed with other seed sold as imported English Perennial Eye—there is an great a difference as lwtween sunshine and d arkness. We guarantee satisfaction, and you have Sutton's name, which h as lieen pre-eminent for 101 years, as a further warranty of satisfaction. KEMRMBEU-IT IS TI-TE ONI.
