On .Monday, 10th inst., we held stock salts at Opunake, Kit ham and Kakar.tmea. At> Opunake there was a full yarding and a good attendance of buyers. Prices were irregular, and bidding, at times, slack, especially for in-caif and empty heifers, and young sto'jk generally. There was a better demand for fats, with a slight upward tendency.

At Eltham, there was only a small yarding, but nearly everything found buyers, prices being about on a par with late quotations. At Kakaramca, the yards were well lilled with a useful class of cattle. There was a fair attendance of buyers, ami nearly everything was disposed of before! caving the yards, prices showing a slight improvement.

At Hawera »n the 2flth inst. there was only a small yarding of cattle, and about 3(100 sheep, but owing to the inclemency of the weather there was only a moderate attendance. Most of +he cattle were disposed of, hut prices for the majority of the sheep did not rcajli owners' upsets, although we tjuitted several lines at auction and after the sale.
