WOMEN LEGISLATORS.
PREDICTION OF THE WCTU I PKEBIDENT. Per Frees Association. Auckland, Last Night. At a welcome tendered this afternoon to the delegates of the W.C.T.U. visitinjj Auckland, Mrs. Cole, the New Zealand president, confidently prophesied that there would be women legislators in the not far distant future. "And when we have them," she added, "many will ho far more capable than some of the men now in the House." Mrs. Cole went on to refer to the liumor of the situation when the Infant Life Protection Bill was before the House. "They do i the best they can, poor things," slie i said, "and if they won't let us help them i inside Parliament we must do the best i we can outßide."
