Per Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. t At the meeting of the Chamber of Commerce this afternoon the following resolution, moved by Jlr. Peacock and seconded by Air. S. Nathan, was carried: '"That this Chamber considers it highly desirable, in view of the fires takin™ place in connection with shipping, that the Harbor Board should take steps te adopt by-laws for the prevention of smoking and the use of wax matches on l/he wharves, or on board of the ships alongside, and that a deputation wait on the Board to urge the same."
