m News "was received in Wellington by cable from Sydney yesterday ol the death of Mr. .'lame's Linton, formerly a director and one of the promoters of the Wellington and Manawatu Kailway Conipanv. Mr S. F. Anderson, manager for the

past two years of the State fann at Waerenga, is relinquishing that position to take up the duties of a fruit inspector in Auckland under the Department. He will be. succeeded by Mr W. 13. Rawson, well-known in agricultural matters in Opotiki, and formerly in the coastal district of T.iranaki.
