PROVINCIAL NEWS.
OPUNAKE. (Front (Jur Uwn Correspondent). At the meeting of the Opunakc Football Uub, Mr K. \V. Westoly, who is tearing here for Taihape, whence he has been transferred, was presented by the members with a set of sleeve links as a slight token of esteem and respect. Mr O. Newsham. in making the presentation, referred to the many good qualities of the recipient. Mr E. O'Meara, treasurer, also referred to the zeal Mr Westoly hiul shown lor the welfare of the club. Mr Westoly, in replying, said that although he had only been in Opu nake fifteen months he would not require a present to make him remember Opunake footballers, as he had always found them really good fellows. He thanked them heartily for their present. The s.h. Muritai arrived here this morning, and was busy all day discharging cargo.
