GOVERNMENT CLAIMS RETURN OF PASSAGE CONCESSIONS. TAYLOR SAILS FOR NEW ZEALAND,
Received 20th, 10.4.) p.m. Sydney, December 20. The Intelligence Department informed Taylor, the immigrant who says the inducements offered him to come to New South Wales have nut lieen carried out, that unless lie paid Cl(i, the value of the concession in passage money from London, they would put the law in motion and pre vent him leaving for New Zealand. Messrs Alien and Alien and Ilmnsley, solicitors, on behalf of Taylor, replied that there was no power to prevent his departure, and indicated tliat if any breach of agreement oc curred, it was on the part of the Government. 0
Taylor left by the Maheno without any interference on the part of the authorities.
