BURNSIDE STOCK MARKET (Per l'rcss Association.) DUNKDIN, July 12. Fat cattle—l 77 head wen- yarded, ol which the usual proportion were prime to heavy bullocks. There was good inquiry for prime quality, and prices for unfinished cattle were kept up by the competition of graziers. Best bullocks brought £9 Ms to £ll ss, medium £8 to £9, light and inferior £5 10s to £7 10s, best cows £i 10s to £9 15s, light do. £5 5s to £6 10s.

Fat sheep.—The requirements of the trade were well supplied bv an entry of 1549. A fair proportion' consisted of prime heavy weights, the balance being made up of light medium weight wethers and a few pens of ewes. The sale opened with a slow demand, with a reduction of about Is per head on last week's rates, and although values improved during tlie progress of the sab they fell away again towards the end. Altogether the sale was unsatisfactory, buyers having the best of it. Heavy weight wethers 25s to 275, medium 22s to 245, light and inferior 17s to 21s, best ewes 21s to 2-ls 6d Fat lambs.-180 yarded, there being only a few pens of reallv prime and the demand was good. Best lambs brought IBs 6d to 18s, others 15s 3d to 16s. 1

Fat pigs.-200 w V e yarded, mostly bacon and porker pigs. There was a fair demand at prices on a par with last week.
