MANY NARROW KSCAPKS. KXCITING RKSCUKS. (Received July 11, 11.32 p.in.) SYDNKY, -Inly 11. T!ie Murray and Yass Rivers arc in high flood, and all the lowlands are inundated. Timely Warning Was received by the bulk of the settlers, awl their slock waa removed. Some narrow escapes are reported. Boats rescued many from their homes or clinging to fences. I Wodonga is practically wider water. A family of seven took refuge on ja table, as there was five feel of water in the house. A horseman |ma>le seven journeys to the house and rescued all.
