BUTTER FACTORY BURNED.

(Per Presa Association.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 5. The Burton butter factory was totally destroyed by fire at Motueka Iftit nigiit. The building was owned by Mr F. W. Thorpe (Mayor), and leased by Rankin and Sons. There was a, large stock off ibutter in store, and this was lost. Insurances ure £4OO on building und plant ; but Ranking wore uninsured.
