Ten Cape rebels and Free Staters who liad fallen in the war were re-in-terred at Bughersdorp in the presence ot 500 persons, many of whom were Dutch ministers. Louis Botha urged his hearers to remain mutually true and maintain their creed ami language. The Afrikander must never become a German, Hollander, or Englishman, any more than an Australian or Canadian .calls himself an Englishman. . The people ought to 'bo dissuaed from trekking.
