A chnrgo of cruelty against font prominent Christchiirch citizens, which has been exciting great public interest, was dismissed by the Magistrate to-doy. The charge was that they cruelly chased a horse a few miles out of the city in a motor cur till it was in a terrible state of exhaustion. The "dismissal was on the ground that the evidence did not show conclusively that thero hud been any cruelty.
