Tho average priof to-day for Oantrbury brands is 4| i per lb, f jr Danedin, Southland and W.M.K Company t-rands 4d, for otier North IsUnd brands 3£l and for River Piate mutton 3J i. Lamb—ThH maikei iss eady at quotations cable'l last week. There has been no alteration in the baef mark:t since last week.
The transactions in bn terare very limited, the av<-rag<> price of choicest New Zsaland is noninJly 93s per cwfc. The cheese market is dull, the average price oF fluest New Zealand b.ing sjs per cwt, Canadian 47s t-. 48s.
Hemp.—The market is steady and prioe well maintained.
There has teen no alteration in cocksfoot ssed.
