Fruit trees, etc.. sold at very low prices. At the Mart fowls made Is 41 to la lid, cheese 4d, bams Bd. A quantity of furniture and sundries made low prices. On Wednesday \ held a clearing sale of furniture on account of Mr Qeorge Woodhouse, when there was a fair attendance and satisfactory prices were realised. Oattle.—it Sltham, on Monday, I held a oUaring sale on account of MrTbos. Mabey. There was a good attendance and satisfactory prices were realised throcehont. Dairy cows, early calvers, mada L 7 to 19 5.°, late calvers and aged cows £4 to L 7 10 , store . cows. LSI lOs to L 3 ,7s 6d, weaners LI 12s, heifers, in calf, L 3 12s 6d to L 4, springers L 5 2s 6d, (tore pigs 25s to 31s, weaner do lis to 13s 6d, breeding sow L 3 2s 6d. At Stratford, on Tuesday, there was a very small yarding of stock. Bidding was fairly keen for good calves to ye?riings and nearly all of this class were quitted at satisfactory prices. Springing btifers met with good inquiry and all in forward condition sold well. Oth'.r classes sold at late values.) Calves made 19s to 32», yearlings 37s to L2 5e 6d, heifers in calf L 4, springers L 5 8* to L 6 3s, store cows L 3 12a 61 to L 4 3s. - On Wednesday, at Mangatoki, I held a clearing sale on account of Mr C. MoGuinness. The cows were a good lot and Were well competed for. Early calvers made L 6 10s to LlO 10s, late do L 4 5s to L 7, heifers, in calf, L 3 13i to ,L 4 15s, springers L 5 to L 7 ss, Jersey do 18 7s 64.
