MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
MB PRESS ASSOCIATION Stratforb, April 18, Messrs N. J. King and Monkhouse have been nominated for the Mayoralty and the following for the Council:— Messrs BlackeU, Burrougb, Brooking, Greig, James, Johnston, Masters, J. D. Morison, R. M. Morison, Ralfe, Sangster, Turner, Wilson, Young. Five out of the 14 candidates are on the present Council. It is a coincidence that at Eltbam there are al-:o 14 candidates, five of whom are Councillors. Fielding, April 20. Mr Kdmund Goodbehere has been dected Mayor unopposed. Hokitika, April 20. Vr Henry Leslie Michel has been elected Mayor unopposed. Wellington, April 20. Mr Aitken bas been re-elected Mayor of Wellington unopposed. Nelson, April 20. For the Motueba Borough, Mr J. Stuart Watt has been re-elected Mayor unopposed. For Richmond, Mr Talbot, who has been Mayor for several years retired, and the candidates nominated are J. O. Croucher and W. D. Harkness.
