FIRES.
PBB PBBBB ASSOCIATION Wellington, April 19. By a fire which occurred late last flight in a three-roamed house in Frederic-street, a woman named Janet Orr, 54 years of age, was bnrned to death. Her husband, James Orr, left the house early in the evening to attend the and at that time the weman was slightly under the iufl isnoe of driok. It is supposed that she wee cuiying a lighted k*-ros<we l>mpand ft-11, the limp bunting and setting the house on fiie. The flames were confiat d - to the scullery, but the woman was dead wh<tn assistance arrived, and the body was terribly burned.
