J This evening at the I'heitrn Royal Mr J. D, Soyle will tibo a well d' served benefit, tendered to him by his m ny friends and memoes of 'he Nsw Plymouth Op ra Club. The f-ntert <inmsnt will consist of comedy sketch s and musical and r peratic numbers, concluding wi - h the second act of "L s Cloches da Oorn-ville." The opening sketch, entitled "Supper for Three," in which members of the Opera Olub will take part, is said to be remarkably funny, abounding in smart, witty dia-| i°gue, the gifiiitiops light through being exceedingly amusing ar.d causing roars of laughter from b 'ginning to et;d in this Mr Stoyle will be seen as a C-mediae, while in the concluding part be will take the heavy pirfc of "Qasoird," thus giving his patrons every opportunity to witness his abilities as an actor. Judging from the ler.gth of the programme there will be a good evening's amusement witbia the reach A all who care to avail themselves of this opportunity.
