FROZEN MEAT TRADE.
AGENT-GEHERAL'd SUGGESTIONS. Per Prpgs Association. Wellington, April 14. In a covering letter dated February 27th to tbe Department of Industries and Commerce, enclosing the Produce Commissioner's report on the distribution of frozen meat, the Agent-General says:—l enclose memorandum from
Mr Cameron relative to the advantage afforded River Plate traders for the - increasing distribution and eale of thi ir meat throughout this country by curtailing mutton shipments from New Zealand during the latter quarter of last year. I desire particularly to direct your attention to this important matter, and I would advise that urgent attention be given to it so that, if possible, steps may be taken to ensure continuity acd regularity of supplier, thus helping to establish a better and steadier demand, acd so resisting th-.t keen competition from the River Plite, which may be expected to increase rather than diminish.
