In connection with the te'egram from Auckland concerning the alleged intention of the -Public Health Department to establish a leprr station at Motuibi Island, Sir Joseph Ward says the Dep<rcment has no such desire. He disnpproves that site, as he considers it should be an en'irely isolated on>>, and f;r this rea«u he favours Penryhn Island as a lep'.-r station.
