The visit of the Wangvnui bowlers to the looil green on F<iday attracted % Urge number of oclo ikers, principally hdi< 8, >vbo were meat hospitably entertained, an excellent afternoon tea being dispensed by Mrs R. o)ck, with the assis'aace of active bind of lady | helpers. Play was oirried out under favourable cmditioos, except that the wind was somewhat too strong, and a very or.j .yable afternoon was spent by all pr sen'. The local bowlers proved too good for the visi'ots at all the ' riuks but one, being 43 ahead at the close, Scores: —
