AUSIRAMA ACCEPTS DELIVBKY. The Postmaster-General (Sir Joseph Ward) forwarded the following circular memorandum on Wednesday: "Very plejsel to be able to inform you that in respons * to representations mada by me the Federal Government of Australia has today agreed to allow New Zealand letters to be admitted to the Commonwealth at the penny rate. This news, I am sure, will be received by you with satisfaction, as Australia was th<§ only Brit'sh I country which so far hail rtfus d j to agree to New Zealand's in.ivers*l penny pes age.--J. G. Ward."

REDUCED OiBLB RATES. Wellington, April 23. Tne Fidoial Government has agreed to deliver New Zealand penny letters in Austr.ili*, this colowy having agited to a half-penny terminal rate on cables. The result will be a univeisal cable rate of 4|d a word to all parts of Australia (but not Tasmania], instead of the pr«s«nt diflersmial rales of 5d to Bd.
