FEB PBESS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, April 2. The Aijokland Customs returns for the quarter ending March 31st, have been compiled. The net Customs duty ' was £46,417 7s,compared with £42,241 12s 4d last year, an incieise of £4i76 14s Bd. Tbe net beer duty *as X 1698 12s 9d, sgainst £1479 14s 2d, an increase of £217 18s. The cold export was 15,7100z, vrtlm d <»t £55,178, compared with 11,0160z valued at£40,376, an increase of 46940z and £14,802 7s. The silver export was 48,3640z, valued + at £5634, compared with 35,2080 a " valued at £3599, an increase of 15,166 oz and £2035. The butter exported during the month was 1784cwt, valued at £B2OI, compared with 5048cwt valued at £20,854, a cjfcreaee of 3464 owt and £12,653. Cheese exports were 239cwt, valued at £464, against 698cwc valued at £1457, a decrease of 459cwt and £IOO3.
