(from our own correspondent,) At tha monthly meeting of tha abave Board, tho members present were Mr S. Western (chairman), Messrs Brown, Old and Turnbull, Correspondence was read from the Moa Road Board requesting payment of lorn money for construction of Kich-mond-road ; from Stock Inspector notifying that he had forwarcbd notices re noxious weeds aa requested; from Messrs Orbell and Mackay re To Ariroad contract, and from Mr 0. Samuel enclosing plan If Bertrand-road dsviation and requesting the Board to sanction sam®.
The chairman was authorised to sign the agreement and pkn of deviation of Bertrand road ; the surfaceman was directed to remove the gates and fences on the Pannington-roid; the clerk was iustrucStd to forward a further list of names to thfi S'ock Inspector under the Noxious Weads Act 5 The monthly balance-shee 1 ; was rdad, showing £2lO received from rates sinoa last meeting, no doubt owing to the ten par cent, additional becomiHg due ; tha outstanding arrears being under £2O. Mr Turnbull was authorised to get the gravelling dona; on the Kelly-road. The quos'ion of ploughing Sisson-tarraca was held over, I some members considering it would anly encourage the growth of furze and! blackberries.
Recounts were passed for payment, and the Board adjourned,
