CENTRAL SCHOOL ENTERTAINMENT.

.«. —_ The Central School entertainment comes off at the Theatre Royal on Thursday wpniiig next, and although it seams hardly necssary to advertise the fact, still it may not be out of placn to briefly refer to it. It will no doubt be remembered how well the lifcftle ones acquitted themselves in St. Mary's schoolroom a few weeks ago, so that we may look forward to again getting from them something good. Iu the warid and Indim club exercises the school colours, green and black on the wands and clubs, shou'd contrast well with the white dresses of the performers,! and these, together with the physical drill of the cadets, form excellent items. An attempt has been made to copy the Imperial troops, and very fair success has been achieved. The choruses, both junior and senior, are really attractive iteroFj and are produc»d w}th that excellence for which the school is now so well known. In fact, almost the entire programme is simply a reproduction of work that is being carried on in the school, throughout the year, with psrhaps a little extra at'ention to detail, Tbe entertainment is looked forward to by those who are in a p sition to judge as likely to be the'bast yet produced. Another muttei' tint .pnivnts and other fri«rds should consider is that the funds ara to be devoted to on 01/j rl ct for the benefit of th =ir own children, so that every shilling or eighteunpence earned will return to themselves in the shapi of additional [comfort for their little ones Both ! teachers and children have worked hud to produce soraething poo', and we trust the public will roll up in hrjse numbers, not only to enjoy a pleasant evening,, but also to help on a good object,
