Inane was a fu.ii- attendance at Whiteley Hall last night, when a concert and pociul was held to raise funds to for* a Good Templar Lodge. Mr Qoodafra occupied the chair, and made an iate« resting opening address on the object of the meeting. The Eev. S. J. Serpsll also gave a very interesting address on temperance work. Mr Cartwright aleo gave a short but interesting address. A capital programme was submitted, and, judging by the applauA and numerous encores, vary heartily appreciated. The following wera those taking part Miss Heldt, pianoforte solo; Mr H. White,sung; MrO'Donovan, cornet solo; Miss Nixon, long ; Mr Pioctor, fong (comic); Messrs Herbert and Harold White, duet; Mra Pikett, socg; Mr Allen Veale, song ; Mi-gen Howell, pianoforte duet; Miss Nixon, recitation; Mr Proctor, song (comic); Mr Mason, recitation; Mr Haiold White, song. During the evening refreshments on a very lavish 'scale were banded rtund, and tke proclosed with (fie National Anthem.
