ABRIDGED PROSPECTUS OP THE TARANAKI CO-OPERATIVE BACON COMPANY, Ltd. CAPITAL: £IO,OOO, divided into 2,000 sbares of £6 each; payable as follows: 108 per share on application ; Ss per share 1 on allotment; 10s per share on the 16th day of January, 1902, and the balance when called for at tbe rate of not exceeding 5s per share, at intervals of not leas than six months. An agreement has besn signed between Mr. Drake and Mr. F. J. Morris, aa trustee for the Company, fixing the purchase money at £4,250, of which the vendor is willing, at the option of the Company, to take £6OO in fully paid up shares. A statement of the trading account of the faotory foi the period from Ith January to llth December, ISOO, shows that, with a total of 3479 pigs dealt with, a gross profit of £2184 0s 6d, and a net profit of £945 17s 6d resulted,' being equal to 36 per cent, gross, and 15£ per cent. net. This statement is certified to by Mr. T< O. Kelsey, F.N Z.A.A. Mr. Thomas Bunciman, of Eltbam, has, on behalf of the Provisional Directors, inspected and valued the factory and plant, and his Valuation, without including value of the land or goodwill of the business, is £4242 7s. The Company will establish stations at Warea, Opuna&e, Kaponga, and Eltham within six months after receiving a sufficient guarantee that 16'J0 pigs will be supplied for one year at each of those places. No amount has been paid or is intended to be paid by the Company to any promoter Copies of the Articles of Association of the Company, and of the Bank Bond may be inspected at the offices of the Company's Bankers or Solicitors.
