He has] loyally and unstintedly consecrated his | p >wers to the service of the church of j his choice, and in accepting this moist j difficult and arduous work in conn^c-1 tiou with the Suptrnumary Fund, the ' Synod takes This opportunity while expressing its sorrow at the necessity for such a removal, of recording its satisfaction at the wisdom of the app'jintI ment, its unabatad confidence in and ! esteem for Dr. Morley, and in earnest i prayers tbat the Providence of God will sustain him in health and vigour that his labours will result in permanent benefit to the church." The resolution was carried unanii mously. -

Home Missions were next considered and much careful attention given thereto in detail which should result in the strengthening and mot-- effective administration of the Hom» Mission Stations of the district. Moved by Rev. J. Dukes and seconded by Mr. Baskets (Wimjanui)— "That in the opinion of this Synod the requirements of our work in the Mangaweka and Waimiiino Districts demand the appointment of experienced Home Missionaries who shall occupy a higher status in the community and urgently recommends the Conference to give special consideiauon to these districts as being th* k°yK to important spheres opening beyond." —Carried.

An invitation was conveyed to the Ministers attending the Synod from the Taranaki Agricultural Society to the Show being held in New Plymouth. The invitation w.is iic;epted and the courtesy highly appreciated. / Tbe following resolution, moved by Eev. John Dukes, was carried re the Supernumerary Fund having been drawn to the eerious condition of the Supernumerary Fuad, the recommendations of the special committee and the alternative proposals of the Eev. J. E. Oarruthers. This Synod deems these proposals of such importance as to merit the most earnest consideration of our church at tbe present time and strongly recommends the Consultative Committees, and the forthcoming Conference itself to carefully consider the same with a view to their adoption."
