THE AUSTRALIAN BLONDIN.
Alexander, the unrivalled Australian gymnast, will give a grand entertainment to-night,, at 8 o'clock, on the bigli wire-rope and trapeze in the Recreation Grounds, commencing bis performance of daring and skill by the grand march. This will b) followed by his taking a chair on the rope, walking blindfolded, carrying a boy or Udy across, and walking in large basket attached to his feet. He will also ride a 'hot se across, and dance the highland fling on the wiie. In addition to this he gives a startling trapeze performance, and rides to and fro on a large bieyole wheel in a blaze of firnworkg. Every parson going through the gate* will receive a numbered ticket. The prizes will be given away on Saturday night. The price of admission is made very small, and, judging by the largo patronage Blondin has received in other places, the entertainment should attract an enormous crowd.
