INGLEWOOD NEWS.
FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. The ordinary meeting of the Moa R.tad Board was held on Wednesday last, aud was attended hy Messrs H. Trimble (chairman), Chard, Henwood, Turner, Jones, Marsb, and J. W. Sawe. On proceeding to deal with tenders for ten contracts, it was found that for five no tenders had been sent in. Of the remaining number thre» were accepted, and two were considered too high. The clerk was authorised to sue for unpaid rates. It was decided that the clerk attend at the office Wice weekly, and the matter of increased salary was left over till nsxt meeting. The farmers of this district are apparently alive to the uecs.ssify i>f taking prompt measures to endeavour to eradicate the ragwort weed pest, and any information through the medium of your paper would be gratefully accepted by your numerous leaders in this locality,
