TARANAKI HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

The Horticultural (Society's show will be held in the Theatre Royal tbis afternoon. The entries in many clarses embrace a large number of new exexhibitors and are much lirger than last year. The cooking which have been weak hitherto, are this yeari exceptionally large. The floral decorations are numerically much ahead of former year*. Messi s Laird and Son, of Waogtmui, have a large collection of roses. Mrs Mitchensou ext.ibi's pot plants and cut blooms. A buuch of i flowers in a block of ice is oue of the i novelties that will be sure to prove (attractive. There will be a guessing j competition, and a plentiful supply of I afternoon tea has been secured by tho J committee. A full orchestra wi 1 'be. (present in the evening. Altogether j the show promises to bo one of tha best ever held by the society, and should ' be largely patrooieed.
