PBS VEESa ASSOCIATION.] Wanoanui, November 22. Whilst engaged at blasting operations near Taihape, two men named John Holroyd and Dtvid Bernard, met with a serious accident. One lit a fuse and threw the match into a keg of gunpowder, with the result that both were terribly burned. The men were brought down to the Wanganui hospital. Donedin, November 22. Arthur Lawrence, a bottle gatherer, was found dead to-day in a gardens reserve in the north end of the town. The body wis a good deal decomposed, and ftom is appewance the man had been dead for a fortnight. It is believed he died of desti f ution. He was. about 56 yeirs of age, and had no set tied abode, generallv sleeping in out-of-the-way pi .ces. He h d no relatives in the colooy, but is believed to have been well connected at Heme.
