The Chambers of Commerce conference has adopted resolutions advocatiog the postponement of the operation of the Kanaka Bill for a reasonable time, pendirg a trial of the Government bonus proposals in connection with the sugar industry, condemning the provisions of the Bill relating to carriage by sea, favouring penny pwtage throughout the Commonwealth and Empire, and a Federal tariff which would not hamper natural industries.
