MANAWATU SHOW.
(PUB PBBSS ASSOCIATION. > Palmkrstoh North, November 13. The Manawatu and West Coaat A. and P. Show started to-day. The weather is fine but windy. There is « good attendance for the first da/, and keen interest is being taken in the judging of Bheep and cattle. In Short* horns, the Mount Herbert Eetatfc .exhibited Contingent, who was adjudge i champion bull, and Arokdeaoon ' Williams' Ducbess of Connaoght was selected as champion cow. In Henford cattle, J. Stuckey's Diamond Jubilee took championship, and J. Stuckey's Amethyst champion cow. J, Stuckey was the principal winner in this class. In linoola sheep, J, M. Wilkie's Lord Bobs secured championship and R. Bremer was the exhibitor of champion ewe. Nelson Brothers and N. A. Beeorofc were tte principal winners in Shropshire Downs, aod J. Stuckey in South Downs. J. Raynor was most successful in Hampsbir* Downs. I Later, I The Bomney championship was secured by D. Rowlands, Palmerstoo North. In p'ge, Berkshire championship bovr and sow were woo by Rleok Brothers, Palmers ton North, and in Tam worth classes J. Jarvis, Palmerston North, practically won all the prises, including two championships for the b»st boar and sow. S. W. Luxford and E. White were the principal exhibitors in the Yorkshire olasse*. the former winning four first awards. Large entries were teceived in the 1 general produce classes, and the judge ! made eulogis ic reference to the quality 'of the exhibits. The first price for cheese was won by the Dalefitld Daily ! Company. For the best oollection of factory cured hams and bacoo, the North Island Bacon Company Moored first prize, and Ingiewood Baoon Comjpany the sezond. Best oolleotion of ! Bacon Factory products, North Tulmfl Bacon Company.
